Kensington is a neighborhood in north east Philadelphia.
Generally accepted boundaries are the area bounded by Kensington Avenue to north, Aramingo Avenue to the south, Lehigh Avenue to the west, and Castor Avenue to east.
Within these boundaries, sub-neighborhoods include East Kensington, Harrowgate, Lower Kensington, West Kensington, Fishtown, and Olde Richmond.
Most recently Kensington has been a hotspot for real estate development as investors who were working in Northern Liberties, Fishtown, and Port Richmond are beginning to trickle into the area.
